After three seasons without a home field due to campus renovations that began in 2023, the Lafayette High School Mighty Lions have finally returned to their newly completed stadium. This significant milestone marks the end of a long wait and the beginning of a new chapter for the team and its supporters.
Senior captain Brett Frizzell expressed his excitement, stating, “I’ve been waiting for this for so long.” The renovations had previously forced the Lions to play their “home” games at nearby schools, including Lafayette Christian Academy and Acadiana High.
The completion of the stadium not only restores the home-field advantage for the Mighty Lions but also serves as a symbol of resilience and dedication for the entire Lafayette High School community. Fans and players alike are eager to create new memories and traditions in their revitalized home.
